Home Energy Audits

How it Works?

Sustainable Grand has coordinated with Mountain Parks Electric, Xcel Energy and EnergySmart Colorado to bring home energy assessments to Grand County and Jackson County.

When you sign up for an energy assessment, our local team of energy experts will contact you to schedule your home visit.  After your assessment, you’ll receive an extensive report with detailed recommendations for home energy upgrades.

Lots of discounts, rebates and incentives are available to help you save money on the recommended upgrades.

What's the Cost?

Fortunately, with the help of our utility partners, home energy assessments in our community are more affordable.  The assessor can even process your rebate at the time of the assessment, so more money stays in your pocket with less paperwork.

New rebates effective 1/1/25. Cost and rebates based on utilities at the home, so only use 1 column. (E.g. an Xcel customer uses the middle column.  No gas or propane at home, use "Electric Only' column).

Cost is for the first 3,000 sqft.  Additional charge: $.05/sqft between 3,000-6,000. $.10/sqft over 6,000.

The home energy assessor will also review your utility bills for the past year to gain a thorough understanding of your energy consumption. Once all of the steps of the audit are complete, the assessor will employ specialized software to analyze the energy performance of your home.  You will receive a custom report that provides you with the information you need to make decisions about your home energy improvement options.
