Home Energy Assessments
What is a Home Energy Assessment?
A home energy assessment evaluates your home's efficiency based on current standards, identifying areas for improvement. Most older homes will benefit from targeted recommendations to meet today’s best practices.
The typical 3-hour assessment includes:
Inspecting for air leaks in foundation, exterior walls, and openings (windows, doors, outlets, etc.)
Checking energy loss-prone areas like the attic, basement, and crawl spaces
Conducting a blower door test with thermal imaging to assess air leakage
Testing gas appliances for safety
The assessor will also review your utility bills and provide a custom report with personalized energy improvement recommendations.
